We are thrilled to announce that George Michael is back in good health and preparing to return to the big stage this autumn with rescheduled and newly added Symphonica tour dates!
George will kick off the Symphonica tour on September 4 in Vienna, a newly added performance in the city where he was hospitalized with pneumonia at the end of last year. George has graciously donated 1,000 tickets for the September 4 date as a special thank you to the medical staff who cared for him so well whilst he was in hospital.
George Michael says, "I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you first to the doctors and nurses who saved my life and took such great care of me and to all my fans, family and friends for their love and support. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone."
The rescheduled and brand new Symphonica tour dates will include performances in Austria, The Netherlands and France — where George will make history when he becomes the first pop artist ever to perform a special gala charity concert at the Palais Garnier Opera House in Paris on September 9.
George will also return to the UK to play dates in Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Sheffield, Newcastle, Cardiff, Liverpool and London. He will complete his UK dates with three concerts at Earls Court in London.
The postponed Royal Albert Hall date that was originally rescheduled for May 2, 2012, will now take place on September 29, 2012.
It has been confirmed that all original tickets will be valid for the rescheduled dates. Any ticket holders requiring a refund should contact their point of purchase as soon as possible; all refund requests must be received by Monday, April 30, 2012. Any returned tickets will be available to purchase from the venue box offices.
